Being Holy at Ilocos : Holy Week 2016

Its summer and my Sisters in Liver are out for fun! We’ve been to Batangas, Tagaytay, Baguio and Palawan. Our next destination…. ILOCOS!!

One of my gals was born and raised at Isabel and they have very close relatives at Ilocos so we decided to pay a visit.

Along with the cutie babies of hers (her pups which she considered as her children) we travel towards north.

Being our only driver, no reliever at all I really salute her for this!

Heavy traffic was expected because its Holy Week and most of the people in the cities are travelling to their provinces.

It was a long ride. We left the city at around 3pm and arrived at Ilocos Norte at around 2pm. Almost 12 hours of land travel.

Mimi’s family was there to welcome us with a sumptuous lunch! We were all hungry and tired!
We rested a bit and off we go to experience the life in the province!

First stop was at the lake where we had our dinner. The water is clear yet too cold but we enjoyed our night swimming. Of course, night wouldn’t be complete without a drinking session!

Second Day!

We went to…

FORT ILOCANDIA

PAOAY CHURCH

BANGUI WINDMILLS

and

PAGUDPUD

Third Day!

Off we go to Vigan to buy pasalubong and do a little shopping.

We would like to thank the family of Ms Mimi Laciste for the warm welcome. So much generosity and they were very much hospitable to us.

Sadly but we need to go back to Manila. In will truly miss the life at the province but most of all the people we’ve been during this short vacation

Till our next travel..

I will be posting blog with our Baguio, Batangas and Palawan Travel soon.
